My first Hat-Trick for Marceles Juniors!
   Sunday, March 27, 2005, 6:50 PM

Had a match with Mayon yesterday. It's been some time since we played.. We were disorganized and our play was scrappy. Felt almost like i forgot Mayon's style of play. We lost to a lousy team, 2-1. I wasn't really on the right gear, just so i can save sufficient oomph for today's match with Marceles Juniors, which i've been looking forward to.

Went against Hilmie's brother's team, which featured Mayonaisse like Keith, Jusri, Khairul and Hilmie. (I believe Keith was also in his resting mode for yesterday's match, hahah.) Well i thought Marceles will have a tough time attacking, but i overrated their defence. Marceles Juniors ended victorious in a 7-0 thrashing which starred my very first hat-trick for the team. One right foot, one left foot, one header =) Got frustrated with the inability to clinch it in many matches (usually, whenever i score 2 for MJ, it stagnates). The match also made us succeed in a clean-sheet which Iskandar had been longing for.

Ants invaded Jenny and it overflowed my boiling point. Used a 'castle' method to keep off the tiny crawling motherfuckers and emailed a tillandsia website about it. They replied and it helped a bit.

Oh anyway, Iskandar thought (and told his mother) my Jenny was a sotong. Hahahahah.

   Happy 18th Birthday Yas!!!
   Friday, March 25, 2005, 11:57 PM

Today's my 18th birthday and i didn't know many people actually knew about it, hee. I took the date off my Friendster account after several people asked me about it before today.

Started out the day fine. My mum cooked a hell lot and dad barbecued my favourite sotongs (with their eggs still in their abdomen!) and prawns. Abang Wan came over with his kid, Akid. Damn it, he's so cute and heavy... I like the kiddo coz he likes me too. Abang Wan brought cheesecake too, which i ate half of. Nice.

Then my granny and aunt's family came over. They brought along a very nice birthday cake! They also got me a present. The brand is Phillishave. It's a battery-operated shaver. Kewl! I've always wanted one of that after my dad's one screwed itself up. Their birthday card had my spiked-hair pics found in my blog. Hahaha, Illi, must be your way around it. It was thoughtful. The message was a lil witty.. And i found it funny because even granny signed. Thanks you guys!

DianSis got me an innovative pop-up card, a whistle and a McDonald's notepad. TiaraSis got me a super-duper small card and a double-wrapped Baseball Snoopy figurine. I love their cards and gifts, always funny and cute. Thanks sisters!

I left off not long after my other half came by. Spent the evening and night with her. It didn't go the exact way she planned it to be, but to me, that's when the best things might just happen. I believed it sufficiently did. She gave me a glass heart wrapped in a nice bag and told me to take care of it. I thought that was it, and i was already happy with her gift (though i told her not to get me anything). Then, she gave me a shocker...
She bought me a SELERIANA TILLANDSIA!!!!!!
The airplant that i've been wanting to possess and care for! She actually bought me that! OMG! I was drowning in my own euphoria. I guess she really knows, more than me, what i really want. We decided to give it a name... It's Jenny :)

I can't upload the actual picture of it but here's an exact replica, courtesy of the source. Check it out!

I've got this new love for Tillandsias (aka Airplants) and this Seleriana picture is just the baby. I saw the adult with it's baby pups on it's sides and damn, it's super HOT STUFF! Airplants don't need soil and are easy to take care of. Check it out! Click here for the jump.

Mastura got me a hot Iron Maiden Best Hits album on Wednesday as an advanced gift. I love it, thanks girl! I love the card from DT0401 too... Thanks you caring Dental friends! Thanks to those who SMSed and tagged me! I can't thank you people enough...

Now, to save money... Gotta get my license fast!

   Dental Therapy... The CHAMPS!!!
   Sunday, March 20, 2005, 9:41 PM

This is gonna be a long entry.

Firstly, i am BACK! My computer's recovered after the common 'evil blue-screen' sickness.

The last 2 'warm-up' games of Captains Ball with the class was really fun! DrRaj, DrRonnie and DrYong joined us too. It was great and those who were absent sure missed out a lot.

Yesterday was the real SHS Inter-Diploma Captains Ball competition day. It was a little nervy for me, at the start - because DT seemed so pressurized and also, we are soooo tiny as compared to the rest of the teams!

Dental Therapy (DT0401) merged as CHAMPIONS!!! We were small, we were all 18 year olds (while there were A' level and elder Nursing competitors), we nearly withdrew from the competition... But we believed and got our team spirit soaring! Many teams talked about how surprising DT made it so far and ended up feeling lucky they didn't go against us!

1st Round (versus Nursing).
A tough, competitive match which DT sort of struggled in. Taufik, their goalie was superb and made scoring such a task for us. The other big guy i had to mark kept shoving me out of his circumference. It was a panicky, nervous game but we came out tops, beating them 5-4. I knew DT's gonna do better for the next game.

Quarters (versus Occupational Therapy).
The umpiring was a little below par. The momentum in the first-half was high and i got carried away... Started my Yas-Madness, shouting out to defend... Haha, i apologise to DT. I didn't mean to scold (and i think i didn't, did i?). Shut myself up at second half. DT played well and the opponent's guys panicked. I think we conceded more than 1 but it's a 9-1 victory to DT according to HuiPing.

SemiFinals (versus Radiography).
A compromise was made so they're allowed to use 1 extra guy (but only 2 guys are allowed during play at any time). They were very competitive! There were a few bust-ups, like Kelly arguing for a free throw and Desmond roaring at her (LOL). We won 11-3.

Finals (versus Nursing).
Turned out to be quite a simple match. Husni aka Boi was a good goalie and it was hard to score. Thank goodness he has a weak point - he likes going off his line! Pingy was long-shots-happy! The Chinese guy in the opposition was a real wannabe and tried his best, but he doesn't really know what he's really about. Funny. We breezed through, 13-6. 6, because we defended casually.

Despite our competitiveness and aggression in play, we managed to cheer for every oppisition we went against. Sportsmen we are :) And uh, believe it or not, i actually lost my voice due to the cheering. I led the "Hip Hip" parts and this is what i got. It's all worth it, hahaha.

I told Azizah about this and she was so proud of us! She sounded real excited that we continued DT's run in the finals (they got Silver last year). She told me to congratulate the team for her. Awww... I thanked her on behalf of the team and supporters!

Thanks to:
Kelly, who was always competing for free throws and going against umpires' words just so that DT can gain an upper hand. A very attacking player who refuses to sit on a lead.
HuiPing, the star of the show. With vision so sharp, taking advantage of every defensive flaws to apply her trademark long shots. Thanks for not giving it a miss!
Leen, who was faster than i thought. Hehe... A very attacking player too, who likes to stay on the right side. She seemed so nervous but picked up more confidence as we went along.
Mastura, who came despite initially not wanting to. I'm sure you didn't regret changing your mind. She said she didn't sweat! A very hardworking player. Remember the powerful shot she made in the finals? It was so powerful, it went over HueMin and straight to the middle of the fence's height. Hahah.
HueMin, who didn't refuse to be our catcher. You totally rocked and caught balls with grace! Told you that you could do it!
Ruth, who threw a wrong pass and yelled out "Shit!" so loud and so funny, it sure made our game exciting!
Yusri, who was instrumental in a defensive role, intercepting deadly passes with smashing speed. Good blocking of shots earned us the low conceding credit. He rocked the court, giving the attacks confidence in the defence.
Also, a big thanks to supporters:
Cady, our manager. i like her style. She made us breakfast. Really nice, top-notch weeniewichs.
Marilyn, who kept us full of laughter with her humour and scary, weird personality.
TanWeiWei, the most-improved player who helped shield some UVs from the gurls.
YuanQi, who i'm sure reddened not due to the sun, but because of euphoria in getting the gold!
Thanks you girls, for actually taking your time to support us in our trainings and yesterday itself, cheering for us, filling up our bottles. We couldn't have done it without y'all!!

DrRonnie, you were absent but i understand your reasons. You made us famous amongst the organizers and thank God we knew about that only after the competition, or else pressure will be humping us like baboons! Thank you, nonetheless... For the training sessions, your time and your confidence in the "Yas drink champagne from trophy" vision.
HeeShen, thanks for your tips and sense of humour in the way you dress!

The prize-giving ceremony will be in May (a long way down, i know) during a Student Conference. Woohoo~

3 cheers and 3 cheers and 3 cheers for DT!
Hip Hiiiiiip..! (coughs)
HURRAY!!!

This is her. Yas will be out for a while due to computer breakdown. Sorry for yet another episode of inconvenience.

   Radiography test blunder #2.
   Monday, March 14, 2005, 11:39 PM

I was frustrated because the Radiography e-test screwed up again. But this time, only Carmen, SherSher, WenXiu and i are affected. A method to deal with it was identified and them 3 started doing it while i sat on waiting, because my user's somehow gone cock and balls. I started the paper around 25 minutes after the class initially started it and it was the longest 25 minutes of the year so far. The pumping adrenaline erased off all the stuff i memorized and then, my confidence. Did the paper in around 25 minutes and left earlier than FuTian and Yusri. I hate e-tests.

Started doing the General Oral Pathology (GOP) project. Along my very choosy-yet-efficient search for relevant resources, i came across this site as i thought i wanted to read more on edema in leg tissues (caused due to cirrhosis' complications). Caution to those who are having their meals. Not really graphic actually. No blood or open wounds. More like healthy chicken drumsticks you can get from Paris Hilton's farms. Never did i think edema's THAT NASTY MAN!

Cat called me to invite me for Saturday's Captains' Ball Lecturers-Students game(s). Sorry i can't make it, i'm representing DT for the InterCourse Competition. Erm, pardon me... Inter-d-i-p-l-o-m-a.

I read Kelly's blog. Somehow it struck me... I'm bored too! Almost everyday seems mundane and routined lately, and hoolabehbie's hectic calender isn't helping one bit. Life goes on and for now, let's just think of Saturday so we have something to look forward to.
All the best for our Radiography marks =)

Invasion of the bees at Ah Tong!
   Sunday, March 13, 2005, 9:44 PM

Played soccer in the morning (supposedly early, but Iskandar was late by a freaking hour, haha) for Marceles Juniors, against a team known to us as Budak-Budak Fushan. It's the team which asked for fights against all the teams i played for [against them] and MJ is not excused. Starrs the familiar ex-AI Bakhtiar aka Bomb. I think he needs a nickname change in airplanes. Oh by the way, he was a grizzly. I couldn't run for through balls often because he always bear-hugs me. I meant it the way the grizzlies do it. Seriously.

First time Toyol partnerred me as a striker and i should say we link up quite decently. Fadzali was missing because he merajuk with the team. He's okay now. He's absent so Farhan wasn't teased about Liza - Or so he thought. Iskandar took his opportunities.
We played very well and our passing was good. We played our normal, friendly game but our opponents wanted our legs. We ignored that and it led us to a 6-3 victory. I scored 2... A top-right-corner hit-post-and-in and a half-field chip over the goalie, which i got applauded for by MJ =)
Was looking to grab my first hat-trick with the team. Was frustrated at not getting my 3rd goal for every match that i scored 2. As for just now, the closest i got was a hopeful shot to the woodwork. Bah.

The match ended around 5 minutes short due to... Bees! Hahah! Bees actually swarmed across the field (Ah Tong, can you believe it?) and buzzed around our heads. Everyone fleed like crazy. Azhar got stung on his left ear. LOL.

Gonna face a tough Nationals + Clubs filled side next weekend. Gotta rest my legs.

Having Radiography test tomorrow. I eyes sprinted across the notes, haha. I hate delays.

   Excuse my absence.
   Saturday, March 12, 2005, 9:15 PM

I felt lazy and busy with tests, so my blog was dead. Sorry to those who appealed for me to update, haa.

My eye is okay now. It took around 3 days for the burning sensation to go off. Thanks to the taggers who tagged regarding this!

Dental Hygiene test was shifted to Friday instead of Tuesday. Was kinda unhappy with the idea but thought twice and i felt it was okay. Anyways, the test was okay. I focused on the 'harder' stuff but the 'easier' stuff came out. I'll be happy with a B.

Radiography e-test was held on Wednesday and suddenly... The electronic test thingy cocked up. The options we're allowed to choose are ONLY the right answers! The mistake was known but can't be corrected by our lecturer. What a shame. Some of those at the back of the lab was scrolling past the questions, i'm sure. I couldn't as the lecturer was just beside me. It's then brought forward to Monday afternoon.

My ganguro ferring had a rough week at school and will continue having adrenaline-filled times till her semester ends. Glad i could spice things up for her yesterday. Had a good time :)

Watched MTV and stumbled upon a Directors' Special show or something. The videos shown are superb!!! I love Bjork, man!

I'm not quite happy right now... Coz i was looking forward to going to the metal tribute gig tomorrow but i can't, for 2 reasons. Match with Marceles Juniors, and the lack of moolahs. Actually, i can't believe i'm missing it out.

ARGH.

   My left eye!!!!!!!!!!!!!
   Sunday, March 06, 2005, 10:34 PM

I was lazily browsing through my Radiography notes in the late afternoon just now, when suddenly, i felt my left eye itch like a bitch. I rubbed it a little but the itch didn't subside. Instead, it grew stronger and stronger. Irritated, i rubbed more and more. I felt this common puffed-up, there's-something-in-your-eye feeling after rubbing but decided to ignore it. So i proceeded on to browse through my notes for around another 20 minutes or so.

The itch returned and it was sharp and painful too, this time. I rubbed it a little and thought, fuck it, i'm gonna look in the mirror. So i did, and then...

Normal view.

When my pupil migrates left.

Yea i actually drew those pictures because my camera's not with me today. They are mirror images, anyway :P
It appears like there's a globule of something there! Some gelly shit or something! It's eeky and feels heavy. It's dangling and makes blinking very awkward. It overlaps my pupil and gets 'squeezed' in the 2nd picture (i was afraid my pupil will spring out because of that. Just imagine that). It's like it's gonna shake it's way off my eyeball. At first, i thought.. "Worrrd..." But hell, it's IN/ON MY EYE! What the fuck is that?!

So i shouted to my mum saying i need to see a doctor. Did just that, straight away. Mr Doctor said my cornea (the gelly like stuff inside) tore away from the globe of my eyeball. The cause - Excessive, hard rubbing. I didn't rub hard at all! Sensitive crap. He said it IS something to worry about. He gave me an eye-drop thingy and if yellow discharge appears tomorrow, an infection is involved; and i have to revisit the clinic.

As for now, it's damn itchy. It burns to see bright stuff like the computer screen.

People out there, don't rub your eyes!
Not because you don't want wrinkles or excessive eyelids, but because this shit will freak you out.

   Study break?
   Thursday, March 03, 2005, 11:57 AM

I've not been revising this week. Guilty...
Went to school in the morning to finish up my Class I amalgam fillings. Thought i did okay. Yusri (LFC fan) wore an MUFC tee. Bugger. Slacked to eat up time, met sugarbebeh at one. Average day, and tomorrow's our continuation. Woo!

The pictures i promised to post here are up! I chose to post 9 of them, good enough right?

February 27th, 2005. Enjoy (:

Thought of spiking up my hair for this date.

Ouh yeah, spike it up nasty.

I needed more goatee, but.. Nevermind.

My dreams only speak about you.

Shot with pollution in the background.

Damn, the camera missed my spikes.

Enjoy the breeze, baby.

E'eh, senyum lah sikit bang.

Ahh, kan best...

   NYP SHS Leadership Camp '05
   Wednesday, March 02, 2005, 9:08 PM

Okay, so i thought camp was on Friday. Silly of me to miss the date in the briefings. Got shocked when Marilyn gave me a call and quickly packed whatever i could. Rushed off to school in a cab. It really sucked as i was having nervous thoughts about what i'd brought. As long as i have my deodorant with me, things are okay i guess.

Was with my other half at that time and the feeling sucked to part with her at that moment in such a panicky way. It's like i want to flee from America to Mexico and i need her to come with me.

Reached and learnt that i was the only guy from outside Nursing. First thing, we were told to sit in our genders and courses (as in, Nursing and not). My row had only me. People laughed, but what to do?! It's funny, so.. Hahahaha.

Then we were grouped up. I was in Group 5, which we named Kueh Bangkit (theme was: treats for CNY or Raya). We slowly learnt about each other and worked together. Cat, the original fearofthedark (sorry for the leg :P) (and it's really okay to do obscene signs coz you were out of tudung, hahaha). Andy, the so-called Cheena Boy who wants to be known as N'dy. Tagged along him most of the time. Sabrina, RG girl who was funny (can't believe you turned one round during the charade; and nobody questioned about it, haha) and immune to embarrassment due to certain topics 'due to her age'. Warric, the typical NS guy or freak, who can breakdance and do acrobatic shiet! He's small built and his muscles buldge like crazy. He did the super wankin' action while hand-standing, can you believe it?! Shida, who was always seeing wheelchairs coming her way according to Andy (i salute you for standing the humidity with tudung!). Hidayah, the quiet yet hardworking girl who helps to laugh at jokes. Liah, the pizza girl who knows some AI-ans and has a simple yet cool personality. Lucy, the petite mother of 2. Bubbly and cute lah she.. She called me her hero you know. Hahah!! Marilyn, my DT mate who 24/7 complained on the food and smell! See you tomorrow. Pei Fen, the sporty girl who kept asking me to remember her name - simply coz i can't seem to remember! And... The other 2 chinese girls who failed to delegate theirselves in tasks for our group (and we're not to keen on them either :P).
Special thanks to Natalie too, our group mentor!

Kueh Bangkit rose from last place to 4th, out of 8 groups. Ironically enough, Bangkit means 'rise' in Malay. I didn't know that. Now i do, thanks to Cat.

Kept thinking about my darla, especially during late nights.

Overall, i think the camp is fun, not because of the activities planned, but because of the people. Made lots of new friends and it scrapped many stereotypes off me. The guys are funny (1, 2, 3, HOoOOoSHHHH). It wasn't as physically demanding or strict as i envisaged but it worked our mentality, anger and patience real good.

That's all i'm gonna spill here, gotta talk to darla now. Happy for her, she scored 97.5% for her C++ and topped the class! She really bangkit after Sem 1 man! Will do the necessary MSN/Friendster addings later on.

Thank you, friends of the camp!
